GRADUATION On Saturday, May 24th, Faith Lutheran High School held its first graduation at St John's, Union with a special Gradution Service. The school opened its doors and held its first classes at St John's in 2004.
GOLF SCRAMBLE TOURNAMENT Join us on July 14, 2008 at 1:00pm for the 2nd Annual Faith Lutheran High School “Bruce M. Hanley” Golf Scramble Tournament (shotgun start). STATE RECOGNITION We are very pleased to announce that Faith Lutheran High School has gone through the rigors of preparation/writing to get ready for an Illinois State Board of Education visit. That visit by a team of state representatives and educators took place on April 29th. After a number of classroom visits and looking through 29 exhibits relative to the overall program of studies, we were informed that we were approved for full Illinois State Recognition. This in effect is equivalent to state accreditation. With this recognition status, we also may now become full members of the Illinois High School Association. By being members of the IHSA, doors are open to us to get better involvement in all extra-curricular activities.
SHARING FOR HERE AND HEREAFTER The “Sharing for Here and Hereafter” campaign continues. The campaign is an effort to provide building campaign dollars while also generating operating dollars to support the program now. Many of the congregations have been involved either through presentations to their leadership group or having been part of a congregational presentation by Mr. Schulze.
