"Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and the Master you are serving is Christ"
Colossians 3:23-24
Athletic Department Philosophy
Athletics at Faith Lutheran High School is an integral part of the school's total educational program. We believe that providing excellence in Christ-centered education, in partnership with the home, requires a “balanced commitment to developing the whole child” in mind, soul and body.
High school athletics is one of the most significant tools in the educational process of character development, and helps to encourage students to lead by example. Athletics provide an opportunity to honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through excellence, maximum effort, self-discipline, commitment, dependability, sacrificial teamwork, outstanding sportsmanship, respect for others, and humility in victory or defeat. Our athletes are encouraged to represent “the name on their chest” in their actions and their words on and off the playing fields.
Faith Lutheran High School is a member of the Illinois High School Athletic Association (IHSA) and complies with all its standards and regulations.
